FlowLounge is a series of office furniture designed for a Japanese Office Furniture Company, Itoki. The series is inspired by a garden and garden furniture. It is aimed to develop flexible, open communication-spaces in the workplace.
The idea of a garden was taken as an ideal multipurpose space that is also conducive to a relaxed atmosphere. The English garden typifies many of the qualities sought for this project. It is a flexible space that can be suited to a variety of activities, from an individual to the group level, from eating, drinking or having tea, to reading, playing or having a chat. The garden also has other features that could enrich the space: gentle boundaries, visual lightness and natural material.
The FlowLounge series can create various combinations and configurations of the furniture to explore the possibilities of working activities.
